WELCOME TO THE MOTORBOAT MUSEUM

The Motorboat Museum closed its doors for the last time on 4th December 2009.

The building is now undergoing a large scale refurbishment and the collections have been repatriated to their original owners.

The Motorboat Museum in Basildon

Throughout the twentieth century, some of the world's fastest and most revolutionary motorboats were designed and built in Britain. The best of these extraordinary machines were preserved at the Museum.

The collection traced the history of these fascinating craft from the early days of steam launches right up to the late 20st Century offshore powerboats.

Visit the Wat Tyler Country Park web site for updates on the refurbishment of the Motorboat Museum building.
